What is Photosynthesis?

Photosynthesis is the process by which plants make food for themselves.  Chlorophyll is a pigment which gives plants their green colour and is found in most plants. Chlorophyll helps in the process of photosynthesis. During photosynthesis, chlorophyll captures the sun’s rays to convert water and carbon dioxide into sugar and oxygen.  This sugar allows plants to grow.
